Babar quit captaincy after being 'solely' blamed for Pakistan's poor performances
Babar Azam had become disinterested in captaining the Pakistan white-ball teams following a critical report by head coach Gary Kirsten. Disconnected from support within the PCB and not confirmed as ODI captain, Babar expressed his desire to step down from leadership roles.
